2022年9月24日、アトリエインカーブは20周年を迎えました。
みなさまへ感謝の気持ちをこめて、記念サイトを公開いたします。

私たちは、設立以来アーティストの創作環境を整え、国内外の美術館やアートフェアで発表を重ねてきました。
これからも、アトリエインカーブの歩みは続きます。

新たなはじまりとなるこの1年。

Atelier Incurve celebrated its 20th anniversary on September 24, 2022.
We would like to thank you from the bottom of heart.
To express our gratitude to all of you, we will introduce upcoming exhibitions during the 20th anniversary on this commemorative website.

We have provided peaceful space for artists who belong to Atelier Incurve, and have exhibited their artwork at local and international museum and art fairs since its establishment.

Atelier Incurve is keep going on its path as this year is our new start.

ギャラリーインカーブ｜京都にて、所属アーティストをご紹介する「allstars 2023」を開催いたします。本展は、アーティスト自身が展示作品を選ぶ、評価者のいない展覧会です。一から新作に挑んだ人もいれば、過去の作品からお気に入りをひっぱり出してきた人もいます。当ギャラリーは、新型コロナウィルスの影響により4年間の休廊を余儀なくされました。本展を皮切りに、新たな幕が開きます。アトリエインカーブがはじまって20年、変わらず創作に向かい続けたアーティストのとっておきの作品に、ぜひ逢いにきてください。

Gallery incurve kyoto will hold a group show “allstars 2023”which presents artists who belong to atelier incurve in four parts. This is an exhibition without an evaluator, in which the artists themselves select the artwork to be exhibited. Some artists challenged new pieces for this exhibition, others chose favorites from their past ones. Our gallery was forced to be closed for four years due to the COVID-19. A new stage of our gallery is beginning with this exhibition. The artists have never stopped their drawing and creation for twenty years, from atelier incurve’s beginning. We are glad you would come and see their absolute favorite pieces.

In this fair that is our 10th anniversary participation, we will present our booth mainly exhibited by artworks of Kazuyuki Tsukamoto, whose pieces were so popular that they were almost sold out at last year’s fair. And our gallery’s one of main artists, Tomoyuki Shinki, and Takeshi Sakamoto who are appreciated from collectors domestically and overseas. Furthermore, we will also introduce artwork of young artists Masayuki Uchino, Ayane Kono, and Kentaro Hayashi" who will be participating in the fair for the first time. Gallery Incurve Kyoto will be participated in “ART SHINSAIBASHI” that is an contemporary art exhibition and sale held by Daimaru Shinsaibashi. TWO IRON MAN -鉄人の二人展-
東京・浅草にある「WATOWA GALLERY / THE BOX TOKYO」にて、インカーブを牽引する作家、新木友行・寺尾勝広の、初期作から最新作まで一挙に公開しました。インカーブの設立20周年を記念する展覧会のひとつとして、創作に情熱を燃やし続けるこの2人の鉄人の世界観をご紹介。また、近年活躍のめざましい阪本剛史・塚本和行、東京初出品となる内野真行・林健太郎の最新作も展示・販売しました。

新木友行
1982年生まれ。黒の繊細なラインが、無骨なファイターたちの隆々とした筋肉の動きと体のもつれを的確にとらえる。近年その対象はファイターたちにとどまらず、陸上や水泳、車椅子バスケットボールなど様々なアスリートにまで広がり、デフォルメされたその動きは躍動感が溢れる。「東京2020 オリンピック・パラリンピック公式アートポスター」のアーティストの一人に選ばれるなど国際的な評価を得ている。

Tomoyuki Shinki

Born in 1982, Tomoyuki Shinki is an avid fan of combat sports. The black lines accurately depict the intertwined, muscular bodies of wrestlers. In recent years, his interests in drawing have spread not only to fighters but also to various athletes who participate in track and field, swimming, and wheelchair basketball. Their movements are full of dynamism. He has been selected as one of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics Official Art Poster Artists, and has gained international acclaim.

寺尾勝広
1960年生まれ。父親が経営する鉄工所で溶接工として20年間働いた後、鉄をモチーフに制作を開始。本人が「図面」と呼ぶ緻密なドローイングには、鉄骨の柱をあらわす直線と溶接の目印をあらわす記号がひしめく。ニューヨークで初発表後に日本の現代美術館でも注目を浴び、以来、ロンドンのギャラリーやシンガポールのアートフェアなど、海外での展示を重ねている。

Katsuhiro Terao

Born in 1960, Katsuhiro Terao worked as a welder for 20 years at his father's ironworks. Everything he sees is converted into an iron structure in his mind. His drawings, which he calls "plans," are filled with pillar lines and welding symbols. His exhibitions are frequently held at galleries in New York and at art museums in Japan.

阪本剛史

1988年生まれ。世界遺産や日本の祭りなど、さまざまなシーンにオリジナルのキャラクターたちが登場する。細部まで精緻に描きこまれた風景に、ほのぼのとした表情の愛らしいキャラクターが登場することで、現実とファンタジーの境界が曖昧になる。毎年のように国内外のアートフェアに出品し、日本だけでなく、海外の数多くのコレクターも魅了している。

Takeshi Sakamoto

Born in 1988, Takeshi Sakamoto draws his original characters in various scenes, such as world heritage and Japanese festivals. Characters with heartwarming faces appear into scenes drawn in detail, it blurs the boundary between reality and fantasy. His artwork exhibits at international art fairs almost every years. They attract a lot of collectors not only in Japan but also abroad.

塚本和行
1984年生まれ。コーヒーカップや花といった具象的なモチーフを、色鉛筆でカラフルに画面いっぱいに描き連ねる。それと並行して、数字やりんごをキャラクターに仕立て、物語性のある作品も描いている。何気ない日常をおもしろおかしく、自分自身を楽しませるために画面に向かっているようにも見える。展覧会や広告のメインビジュアルに採用されるなど、キャッチーな作品群が人々の心を掴む。

Kazuyuki Tsukamoto

Born in 1984, Kazuyuki Tsukamoto draws dozens or hundreds of concrete motifs such as coffee cups or flowers with colored pencils. At the same time, he also draws narrative works by transforming numbers and apples into characters. It seems that he draws his artwork to entertain himself and to make his ordinary, daily life humorous. His catchy pieces captures the hearts of people, have been used as main visuals of exhibitions or advertisements.

内野真行
1984年生まれ。人物や動物、架空の生きものを描く。強い目ヂカラをそなえた表情は、歌っているようでもあり、にぎやかにおしゃべりしているようでもあり、普段の本人の姿を思い起こさせる。本展では、版画技法によって創作された作品をご紹介。

Born in 1984, Masayuki Uchino draws people, animals, and imaginary creatures. Their face with piercing eyes seems to be singing or chatting. It reminds us of his usual figure. Linocut printings will be presented in this exhibition.

林健太郎
2002年生まれ。鮮烈なペインティングから浮かび上がる緊張感のあるテクスチャ。作家自身の手によって勢いよく飛び散った絵具の痕跡が、見る者に解釈の余地を残すかのように立ち現れる。本展が展覧会初出品となる、インカーブ最年少のアーティスト。

Kentaro Hayashi

Born in 2002, Kentaro paints powerfully with his hands and fingers. From his pieces, the tense texture of the painting emerges, and the traces of the vigorously splattered paint appear as if giving room to interpret for viewers. He is the youngest artist in Atelier Incurve to exhibit for the first time at this exhibition.

TWO IRON MAN
The exhibition “TWO IRON MAN” was held at “WATOWA GALLERY / THE BOX TOKYO”. We presented the early and latest artwork of Tomoyuki Shinki and Katsuhiro Terao, who have been leading Atelier Incurve’ creativity. As one of the exhibitions commemorating its 20th anniversary, we introduced the world of the “two iron man” who have been engrossed in their motifs. In addition, artwork of four artists, Takeshi Sakamoto, Kazuyuki Tsukamoto, Masayuki Uchino, and Kentaro Hayashi was exhibited simultaneously.

アトリエインカーブは、社会福祉法人素王会のアートスタジオとして2002年に設立されました。18歳以上の、障がいのある現代アーティストたちの創作活動の環境を整え、彼らが作家として独立することを支援しています。現在30名（2021年4月5日現在）が所属。 2005年、ニューヨークで開催されたアートフェアに出品以降、海外・国内の美術館やギャラリーで展覧会が企画・開催されています。 2010年にアトリエインカーブのアーティスト専門の「ギャラリーインカーブ｜京都」を開廊しました。国内のみならず、ニューヨークやシンガポールなど海外の現代アートフェアに積極的に出展しています。また、出版事業部の「ビブリオインカーブ」では、障がい福祉の概念を広げるような書籍やアーティストの画集、DVDを企画発行。作品をもとにオリジナルグッズの制作・販売も行っています。

In 2002, Atelier Incurve was founded as an art studio of Social Welfare Foundation SOOHKAI. It provides a beneficial environment for artists with impairment, and supports their activities to establish themselves in the art world. Presently, there are 29 artists. In 2005, their artworks were first introduced at an art fair in New York. Since then, their artworks have been frequently displayed at many museums and galleries both in its home country Japan and abroad. In 2010, Gallery Incurve Kyoto was established focusing on the artists of Atelier Incurve. It has actively participated in contemporary art fairs overseas such as New York and Singapore as well as in Japan. Biblio Incurve is a publisher that brings out books, art books, and DVDs expanding concept of welfare for the impaired. It also designs, produces, and sells original goods based on art works of Atelier Incurve’s artists.
